Satri House – Colonial Atmosphere

Satri House
Luang Prabang Laos

Everything about this charming hotel has been thought for the guest’s well being. The welcome, which is certainly a trademark in Asia, reaches its apogee here; you will be immediately led into a small living room with a fireplace, decorated with care. An excellent juice will be served, in the calm and without any precipitation. Nothing that looks like the reception hall of the large structures. You will feel right here as in a large former home, where the stylish staff was chosen for its discretion and efficiency. This welcome continues once you arrive in your room, with a small handwritten note from the owner inviting you to join him for a drink! Very high level never equalled according to my experience!!!

The main house is old (1904), some more recent buildings were added in the French colonial style of the same area, and fit perfectly to the whole, which is very harmonious. Originally, this house was built for the parents of Prince Souphanouvong, who later became the First President of the Democratic Republic of Laos.

14 Deluxe Rooms, 14 Junior Suites, and 3 Satri House Suites. The rooms are huge and extremely well decorated. Canopy bed for some, bathroom with refined shower…

On the terrace or inside, the restaurant is very pleasant. The breakfast is exquisite, homemade jams (do not miss the tomatoes jam, a delight!)

2 swimming pools, spa, leather-covered bikes available to get to the nearby night market or downtown (10 minutes, very pleasant walk, I recommend!)
