India’s first heritage hotel. In a lush garden, an authentic Rajasthani Palace built in the 20s has been turned into a luxury hotel. The welcome is awesome and staff very attentive. The location is perfect, not too far from the main visits, but in a quiet area.
The Ajit Bawan was built exclusively for the younger brother of Maharajah Shri Umaid Singh ji of erstwhile Jodhur state in 1927. Decades later, his son, late Maharaj Swaroop Singh ji along with his wife Rani Usha Devi opened the doors of stately royal residence to the travellers coming to the Blue City. They pioneered the “Heritage Hotel” concept in India.
