A very pleasant surprise for this confidential address in the heart of Siem Reap.
More than a hotel, it is a place of culture and exchange as evidenced by its multi-cultural past. It was the small French school (with its 4 classrooms) of Siem Reap, French Cultural Center (it remains locally known by the name “sala barang”), a place of negotiations under the Khmer Rouge before Being transformed into a hotel by its current owner.
Its historical part is a large room 11m by 11, with a framework supported by a central post, built by the last colonial French carpenter in 1953. Today it is home to the Franco-Khmer restaurant.
7 rooms only, with all comforts, some can even accommodate families (bunk bed)
A cultural café with temporary exhibitions, a restaurant in the historical part
Small swimming pool with salted water, cooking class, shadow theatre
