Consisting of an elegant facade with columns and ivory coloured windows, balconies in a neoclassical style tinged with art Deco, this small confidential address is full of charm which includes a recent four-story building, built in the French style prominent in the Shanghai Chic of the 1920s. Furnished like a beautiful house, the interior consists of old colonial type furniture, engravings and hunting trophies. Ideally located, not too far from Sukhumvit road, but hidden at the bottom of a quiet and green dead end, this hotel is perfectly situated to enjoy a little calm at the heart of the bustling city of Bangkok. The Walpole building has been built in memory of an old friend of the owner’s father, who was a Chinese Lao Yeh (gentleman) with exquisite taste and elegance.
