The Siam – Colonial Atmosphere

The Siam
Bangkok Thailand

Opened in 2012 and located on the banks of the river in the historical Dusit district, this fabulous hotel has many attires. Its design blends elegantly the industrial Eiffel style (canopy and metallic beams), the art-deco touches and the antique objects of the colonial era. It includes a house of a hundred years, disassembled in Ayutthaya and ascended by Connie Mangskau (a friend of Jim Thompson) on the banks of the river Chao Praya. It now houses one of the restaurant as well as a suite with private balcony full of charm.

Hotel built and managed by one family only, the Sukosol. The American architect and designer Bill Bensley made it possible to realize the vision of the director of creation, Krissada Sukosol.
