Special mention goes to this boutique hotel built recently in a colonial style. Situated away from the hectic centre of Saigon, in a residential district on a river (District 2), the place is peaceful. The decor is neat; with an elegant mix of dark parquet floors and cement floor tiles, fans and beige shades for fabrics. The environment is very green, in short the place is very harmonious and relaxing!
Initially a private villa, it was renovated and transformed into a hotel in 2013. A beautifully Large colonial white building, the kind you dream of owning!
23 rooms all different, some with balcony, some river view and others pool view, mini bar complimentary
Bistro Song Vie, very nice restaurant overlooking the river. Franco-Vietnamese-Asian cuisine, a rather successful fusion, excellent à la carte breakfast, impeccable service, very well trained and attentive staff, very good wine list.
Amazing salted swimming pool, spa (absolutely fabulous massage that I had to test for you…), small gym, very nice books on demand at the reception, free boat transportation to the city center (15 minutes of a very pleasant trip), reception desk very efficient to find Museum schedules, etc … The galleries and boutiques in the district are intended for a clientele of expatriates international rather chic.
